Theme: Sangha and Taking Refuge

Sangha is the living expression of the Buddha’s path—a community where practice becomes real through relationship. Taking precepts marks a turning point: an inner vow becomes visible and shared. In Sangha, we support each other not just in keeping the precepts, but in embodying them.

On 20 July 2025, the 52nd Initial Jukai Ceremony was held at St Pius School Hall.

Three Zen students received the Three Essential Precepts—Buddha, Dharma and

Sangha—from the Abbot of Jikishoan. To date, 133 people have taken Jukai.

This issue honours those who have stepped forward, renewing the heart of community. May we walk together with clarity, humility, and the joy of shared

awakening.
